1.0 access is moved to: old.liftos.io (all data will be deleted in 30 days)

Finally, one simplified sidebar.

We received lots of feedback to improve our double-sidebar UX into a simpler single-layer one. So we did just that. Merged both layers into one, simple & flexible sidebar.

We also simplified the hierarchy inside your Workspace.

Sections are now Spaces & Spaces are now folders.

Spaces inherit folders & you can have up to 10 nested folders.

This way the Sidebar can be simple to work with but also more customizable as you can freely move things around and create a nested-structure.

More things to come to the sidebar, looking forward to all of your feedback in the next days 🙌

A new private area

To help you manage private Apps and Folders with ease. Simply add folders, add apps, and reorder to organize with ease. If you’d like to move anything from private to the public area, simply drag and drop to share with your team!

We wanted a separate area to quickly add info without thinking about the destination. So you can quickly jot down info or keep tasks and then move it anywhere you want to keep it organized.

A-very-quick Quickbar

Chat, Calendar, Inbox, Templates, and other tools for you neatly packed into the new Quickbar to the right of every Workspace.

Simply hover over to discover different tools & collapse when focusing on the work with the arrow button at the middle of the Quickbar.

And much more…

1k+ feedback analysed, written over 100k lines of code for 12 weeks to deliver this new experience to you. ❤️‍🔥

Last but not least: For those who love the details:
A new permission structure

How Permissions Work

Workspace-level roles do not affect any Space / folder-level visibility.

One can assign users to both Spaces & Folders.

Space & folder assignments are in 2 categories: Admin / Member

Admin

  • Can view, delete, change name and reorder the Space / folder as well as remove members

Member

  • Can view, & add new members of the Space / folders.

If a user is not assigned they won’t automatically see any Space or Folder unless:

Auto assign is ON:

Space and Folders can be turned on to automatically be shared with users of their “parents”.

A Space can inherit all members from the Workspace and folder from the Space of folder above it.

For example (IMAGE) Everyone at “WS NAME” can see this.

If this is “Full access” automatically workspace members can see this area. If a Space is “full access” but a folder is “no access” then that folder will remain invisible. So you can manually decide under Spaces that are full access which folders will also be visible automatically or not.

New

Template library, dark mode and more

With this update, we are launching a template library with pre-built templates for product managers, sales managers, founders, and designers. Additionally, themes are here! A much-requested feature to change the look of the UI from light to dark.

Launching the template library with 40+ templates

We hand-crafted beautiful templates to help you draft sales proposals, create product roadmaps, track bugs and document features among many others. Click on the template library in the sidebar to try out different templates yourself!

Will you choose the light or the dark side?

Finally, dark mode is here. To help you customize liftOS even more to your preferences, you can now work in light or dark themes. You can also match the theme according to your device's system settings. We are curious to see, will you choose the light or the dark side?

check out the updates

Yours productively,

liftOS team

New

Further customization, user roles and more

We updated liftOS to help teams manage their work more effectively together.

With new user roles, Admins can define more settings and manage sensitive information, new Section modal helps organize teams and their work and a new onboarding experience to help onboard your users effectively into your Workspace all with this update.

New sections help you set-up roles and assign your team to multiple spaces at once

Workspace, Sections and Spaces are 3 areas where user roles apply. Admins can change main settings and remove other members while members have full visibility and workability in places they are assigned to.

More customization to Sections & Spaces

Sections get a big customization update with new icons and colors, Spaces are also getting a boost with Space colors to make liftOS more unique to you.
