Finally, one simplified sidebar.

We received lots of feedback to improve our double-sidebar UX into a simpler single-layer one. So we did just that. Merged both layers into one, simple & flexible sidebar.

We also simplified the hierarchy inside your Workspace.

Sections are now Spaces & Spaces are now folders.

Spaces inherit folders & you can have up to 10 nested folders.

This way the Sidebar can be simple to work with but also more customizable as you can freely move things around and create a nested-structure.

More things to come to the sidebar, looking forward to all of your feedback in the next days 🙌

A new private area

To help you manage private Apps and Folders with ease. Simply add folders, add apps, and reorder to organize with ease. If you’d like to move anything from private to the public area, simply drag and drop to share with your team!

We wanted a separate area to quickly add info without thinking about the destination. So you can quickly jot down info or keep tasks and then move it anywhere you want to keep it organized.

A-very-quick Quickbar

Chat, Calendar, Inbox, Templates, and other tools for you neatly packed into the new Quickbar to the right of every Workspace.

Simply hover over to discover different tools & collapse when focusing on the work with the arrow button at the middle of the Quickbar.

And much more…

1k+ feedback analysed, written over 100k lines of code for 12 weeks to deliver this new experience to you. ❤️‍🔥

Last but not least: For those who love the details:
A new permission structure

How Permissions Work

Workspace-level roles do not affect any Space / folder-level visibility.

One can assign users to both Spaces & Folders.

Space & folder assignments are in 2 categories: Admin / Member

Admin

  • Can view, delete, change name and reorder the Space / folder as well as remove members

Member

  • Can view, & add new members of the Space / folders.

If a user is not assigned they won’t automatically see any Space or Folder unless:

Auto assign is ON:

Space and Folders can be turned on to automatically be shared with users of their “parents”.

A Space can inherit all members from the Workspace and folder from the Space of folder above it.

For example (IMAGE) Everyone at “WS NAME” can see this.

If this is “Full access” automatically workspace members can see this area. If a Space is “full access” but a folder is “no access” then that folder will remain invisible. So you can manually decide under Spaces that are full access which folders will also be visible automatically or not.
